As a community-led group, we rely on the active support of all our members to keep our sangha running smoothly.
There are a number of ways you can help out:
Weekly 7:00 PM Wednesday Meditation
Weekly volunteers are needed to:
- Help set up room
- Lead meditation
- Facilitate dharma talk and conversation
- Help take down room
A Sign Up Sheet for Wednesday Meditation tasks is on the table by the entrance of the hall each Wednesday, and is circulated by Discussion Facilitators.

Other Opportunities to Help the Port Townsend Sangha:
Retreat Committee – Spring and Fall Retreats
Members coordinate two weekend retreats each year, usually led by a well-known dharma teacher.

Days of Mindfulness Committee
Members of this group coordinate our monthly Days of Mindfulness.
Members of the Finance Committee are responsible for managing the treasury of the Port Townsend Sangha, and help to support fundraising efforts.
Members of the Social Committee coordinate social activities for the Sangha, such as the Annual Picnic.
Members of this group coordinate services to the broader Port Townsend community, such as the annual Winter Shelter program that provides meals for the homeless.
